Hi, I'm Sam Horton
I live in the NW countryside with my wonderful family. I love hill walking, choreography, getting kids more active, researching the latest fitness and nutritional information, organising fitness and social charity events and dancing!
I have a strong belief that everyone can make small changes to their lifestyle to ensure that they live happier, longer and healthier lives. I am passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their health and fitness goals with excellent nutrition, natural, healthy foods, motivational support and advice and regular exercise.
I love teaching my Pilates, Trigger Point Pilates, Dance Fitness with ballet barre toning and HIIT Low Impact Interval Training classes. These provide many physical benefits including a combination of fun, low impact aerobic/toning exercise, improved strength, flexibility, mobility, core strength, pelvic stability, posture, coordination and body awareness. However, the other fantastic benefits that I love to see and experience for myself are to have increased self-esteem and energy levels as well as general feelings of well-being and happiness!
I also love running my fitness business and regularly teach many well-attended classes a week during mornings and evenings, mostly in village community halls. My classes are multi-level and include diverse age ranges, men and women, beginners through to those with many years of experience.
I am a fully qualified Level 3 fitness instructor/trainer with more than 28 years' experience in the fitness industry, including teaching, lecturing, assessing & verifying assessments for South Kent Further Education College for almost 10 years between 1995 and 2005. I have been teaching and practising Pilates for 22 years and have taught and assessed other Pilates teachers for Future Fit Training, for 6 years between 2004 to 2007 and also from 2009 to July 2012.
I am committed to continual professional development (CPD) and being the best that I can be for the health and wellbeing of my clients/participants and students. I attend regular workshops and fitness conventions and obtain new qualifications in line with industry and my personal and business needs.
